Don't worry! Today I show you 2 very important techniques in Microsoft Word step by step!

📺 Video Tutorial: Set Portrait & Landscape + Khmer Page Numbers

Watch this short video tutorial in Khmer to see how to set section breaks and format Khmer page numbers:

🛠️ Part 1: How to Set Landscape and Portrait in the Same Document

If you change page orientation directly, Word changes ALL pages in your document. To change ONLY 1 page, you must use Section Breaks!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Put cursor at the end of the page right before the page you want to make Landscape.
  2. Go to Layout tab on top ribbon.
  3. Click Breaks button => select Next Page (under Section Breaks).
  4. Put cursor on your target page => click Orientation => select Landscape.
  5. Put cursor at the end of your Landscape page => click Breaks => Next Page again.
  6. Click Orientation => select Portrait to change back to standing pages!

> 💡 Pro Shortcut Method:

> Highlight text/table on your page => Go to Layout => Margins => Custom Margins... => Select Landscape => Under Apply to: choose Selected text => Click OK! Word creates section breaks for you automatically!

🛠️ Part 2: How to Set Page Numbers in Khmer (១, ២, ៣)

Want your page numbers to show in Khmer Unicode digits (១, ២, ៣) or Khmer Limon font numbers?

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Double-click Header or Footer area on your page to enter edit mode.
  2. Go to Header & Footer tab => click Page Number => Format Page Numbers...
  3. In Number format dropdown, select Khmer numbers (១, ២, ៣) if available.
  4. If Khmer number format is not listed:
  • Insert normal page number (1, 2, 3).
  • Highlight the page number box in Header/Footer.
  • Go to Home tab => change font to OS KH Auto Font or Limon R1!
  • The page numbers will display in Khmer numbers automatically!

💡 Short & Clear Tips Summary

  • ✂️ Use Section Breaks (Next Page): Never press Enter many times to split pages. Always use Layout => Breaks => Next Page when changing orientation!
  • 🔗 Unlink Header/Footer: If page numbers get messed up on Landscape pages, click Link to Previous button in Header/Footer tools to turn it off!
  • 🔤 Khmer Font Setup: Change page number font to OS KH Auto Font or Kantumruy Pro so page numbers show clean Khmer digits across all Windows versions.
