Hello everyone! Today I show you one super useful feature in Microsoft Word when you work in team or send report to your boss — Track Changes, Comments, and Sharing Document!

If someone edit your document, Track Changes shows you exactly what they added, deleted, or changed. Very easy to control! Let go learn!

What is Track Changes?

Track Changes is a tool that records every edit made to the document:

  • Added text appears underlined in color.
  • Deleted text gets strikethrough line (strikethrough).
  • Formatting changes show in the right margin margin balloon.

> 💡 Tip: Use Track Changes when sending drafts to your boss, teacher, or colleague so you can see all their corrections before making final decision!

How to Turn On and Use Track Changes

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your Word document.
  2. Go to Review tab on top menu bar.
  3. Click the Track Changes button (it highlights dark blue).
  4. Now start typing, editing, or deleting text — Word records every change automatic!
  5. To accept a change: click on the edit and click Accept on Review tab.
  6. To reject a change: click Reject to undo the edit.

> 💡 Tip: Press Ctrl + Shift + E to toggle Track Changes ON or OFF quickly without clicking menu!

How to Add Comments in Word

Instead of changing the actual text, you can leave a note or feedback using Comments:

  1. Select the text or paragraph you want to comment on.
  2. Go to Review tab => click New Comment.
  3. A comment bubble appears on the right sidebar margin.
  4. Type your note (for example: "Please double check this number!").
  5. When reply is done, click Resolve or right click comment => Delete Comment.

> 💡 Tip: Comments are great for asking questions or giving suggestions without destroying the original text formatting!

  2. Choose Upload to OneDrive to collaborate live with team.
  3. Or save as .docx file and send via Email / Telegram.
  4. You can also click Review => Lock Tracking and set a password so no one can turn off Track Changes without password!

> 💡 Tip: Always inspect Reviewing Pane before sending final file to make sure no hidden comments or unaccepted changes remain!

Quick Summary & Tips

  • Turn On Track Changes — Review => Track Changes (or Ctrl + Shift + E).
  • Accept / Reject — review each edit one by one or click Accept All Changes.
  • Add Comments — select text => New Comment.
  • Lock Tracking — put password on Track Changes so reviewers cannot disable it secretely.

> 💡 Tip: Before printing or sending final PDF to client, choose Simple Markup or No Markup to preview how the clean document looks without red mark lines!
