Hello everyone! Today I want to show you how to edit Author & File Information, setup AutoSave & AutoRecover, and manage Recent Documents in Microsoft Word step-by-step with Khmer video guides!
These settings protect your document files from losing data and help you personalize file owner information.
đ¤ 1. How to Edit Author & File Information in MS Word
Author Information shows who created or edited the Word document. You can customize author name, document title, and company properties.

Step-by-Step for Author & File Info:
- Open your document in Microsoft Word.
- Go to File tab at top-left corner $\rightarrow$ click Info.
- On the right side under Related People, find Author.
- Click Add an author to type your name (or right-click existing author to edit).
- Click Properties dropdown at top $\rightarrow$ Advanced Properties to add Title, Subject, and Company name!
đž 2. How to Setup AutoSave & Recover Unsaved Documents
AutoRecover automatically saves a temporary backup copy of your document while typing. If your computer crashes or power cuts out unexpectedly, Word can recover your unsaved document!

Step-by-Step for AutoSave & Recovery:
- Go to File tab $\rightarrow$ click Options at bottom-left corner.
- In Word Options window, select Save category on left.
- Check Save AutoRecover information every X minutes $\rightarrow$ change interval to 1 minute!
- Check Keep the last AutoRecovered version if I close without saving.
- Click OK to save settings!
- To Recover Unsaved File: Go to File $\rightarrow$ Info $\rightarrow$ click Manage Document button $\rightarrow$ select Recover Unsaved Documents.
đ 3. How to Manage & Pin Recent Documents in MS Word
Recent Documents list shows all files you recently opened in Word. You can pin important daily files so you never need to search computer folders!

Step-by-Step for Pinning Recent Documents:
- Go to File tab $\rightarrow$ click Open (or Home).
- Look at the Recent file list.
- Hover your mouse over document file name $\rightarrow$ click pushpin icon đ on right side.
- Pinned documents stay at top of list under Pinned tab for 1-click access anytime!
