Hello all guys! Welcome back to word.rean.me by Rean Computer 101! Today I show you how to use WordArt text styles and insert visual Charts in Microsoft PowerPoint!

Step 1: How to Insert & Format WordArt Titles

WordArt helps you create eye-catching presentation titles with shadows, gradients, and curved text:

  1. Go to Insert tab on top ribbon menu > click WordArt.
  2. Choose a text style template from preset gallery.
  3. Type your title text on slide (e.g. BUSINESS REPORT 2026).
  4. Select WordArt text box > go to Shape Format tab at top bar:
  • Text Fill: Change inside text color or gradient.
  • Text Outline: Change text border line color and thickness.
  • Text Effects: Click Transform to curve or bend text into Arch/Wave shape!

Step 2: How to Insert & Edit Charts in PowerPoint

Charts convert complex numbers into clear visual graphs so your audience understands data fast:

  1. Go to Insert tab > click Chart.
  2. Choose your preferred chart type:
  • Column / Bar Chart: Best for comparing quantities (e.g. sales by month).
  • Pie / Doughnut Chart: Best for showing percentage shares out of 100%.
  • Line Chart: Best for displaying growth trends over time.
  1. Click OK. PowerPoint opens a small Excel Data Table window automatically.
  2. Type your actual category names and numbers in Excel cells. The chart on your slide will update in real-time!
  3. Close Excel window when finished typing data.

Step 3: Customize Chart Colors & Data Labels

  1. Click on chart to select it.
  2. Go to Chart Design tab on top ribbon:
  • Click Change Colors to choose modern color scheme.
  • Select preset design from Chart Styles gallery for instant shadow & gradient background.
  1. Click green Plus (+) button on top right of chart border to check Data Labels so exact numbers show on top of bars!
